Defined by the critics as an artist with a brilliant personality, passionate character, and technical mastery and exceptional expressive power, Judith Jáuregui has established herself as one of the most important emerging figures on the Spanish musical scene.
Born in San Sebastián in 1985, she graduated with Honours at the Music Conservatory in her hometown, with Cristina Navajas. She furthered her studies in Salamanca with Claudio Martínez-Mehner, and at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich, with the great maestro Vadim Suchanov. She has also received master-classes from artists like Joaquín Achúcarro, Alexander Kandelaki, Elisso Wirssaladze, Vitalij Margulis, among others.
She has won numerous national and international awards, including the VIII Premio Internacional de Piano Frechilla-Zuloaga in Valladolid or the XXVII Concurso para Jóvenes Pianistas in Albacete, where she also won the Award for Best Performance of Music by Chopin, and the Award for Best Performance of Spanish Music.
Her extensive concert schedule has meant she has performed all over Spain, as well as in various places in France, Italy, Austria, Germany, Belgium and the USA. She has been very well received at some of the most prestigious festivals, such as the Musika-Música Festival in Bilbao, the Castell de Peralada Festival, the Quincena Musical in San Sebastián, the Dino Cianni Festival, La Roque d’Antheron Piano Festival...
She made her debut as a soloist at the age of 12 with the San Sebastián Music Conservatory Orchestra, followed by the Hessen Youth Orchestra (Germany) and the Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León. She has also recorded for Radio Nacional de España, Catalunya Radio and France Musique on Radio France and for the Serbian TV Networks Sremska Television y Super Television..
Judith Jáuregui currently lives in Madrid, where she is preparing for her upcoming engagements.
